I needed some new tennis shoes, and the situation was becoming desperate. For the past few years I had been wearing rocker-bottoms made by Sketchers. Yes, it did turn out to be an expensive shoe, but I felt good about my purchase knowing that my money was being invested in local business. Because Wagner's is locally owned, Zane was able to offer me the opportunity to walk up and down the sidewalk outside the store, which really gave me a feel for the fit of the shoe. You can take your shoes home and run in them, walk in them, whatever you would normally do, and if you aren't happy with the pair you can bring it back to the store. Wagner's has won my business, and the next time I go out looking for an athletic shoe I know exactly where to go.
