Chocolove

If you believe, as I do, that chocolate makes the world a better place, you are in good company. Every town needs a place to get good chocolate and I am pleased to introduce you to Chocolove.

Chocolove opened a store in Tuscaloosa in early 2023. I've met Magid, the very friendly proprietor. I realize Chocolove is a chain establishment but Magid is the owner of the Tuscaloosa location. We've met his family there. They are very generous and kind.

In years past I would browse the candy isle of whatever local grocery store I might be in. It was more of an impulse purchase since I was already there for more legitimate reasons. But with Magid and his lovely Chocolove I now reserve my chocolate purchases almost exclusively for this charming business. In full confession I probably enjoy more chocolate than I should and allow myself to do indulge in it regularly, though I've learned to pace myself in a more responsible way.

Magid's collection of chocolate includes brands we all know and appreciate but there is also a surprising selection of international chocolates. They have German, French, even English chocolate, and more! K is particularly fond of the spicy chocolate. Each time I visit Magid I typically pick up 2 or 3 boxes of various options as well as a handful of chocolate bars. I visit on a monthly basis to keep stocked up.

Tuscaloosa's Chocolove is located in University Mall, easily found entering from the food court area. Walk through the food court and turn to the left. If you've never visited Magid, you should.
